Chandigarh University's Arjun Babuta has been selected to represent India in the Paris Olympics 2024. Babuta will compete in the 10 Meter Air Rifle Men's and 10 Meter Air Rifle Mixed Team events, marking a significant achievement for both the university and the country.

Arjun Babuta, an Indian sport shooter from Chandigarh, has been a member of the Indian Shooting Team since 2016. Specializing in the 10-meter air rifle events, Babuta has been supported by the Olympic Gold Quest (OGQ), an organization dedicated to nurturing talent and promoting excellence in sports.


Babuta's competitive career began with notable performances at the ISSF Junior World Cup 2016 in Suhl and Gabala, where he secured a gold and a bronze medal. His prowess was further demonstrated at the ISSF Junior World Championship 2017 in Suhl and the ISSF Junior World Cup 2018 in Sydney, where he won a bronze medal.

Babuta's recent accomplishment at the 2023 Asian Shooting Championships in Changwon was particularly noteworthy. He secured a silver medal in the 10-meter Air Rifle event, earning India a quota place for the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris.
