  • NAAC A+ Accreditation: Chandigarh University’s A+ Accreditation by NAAC ranks it among India’s Top 5% of higher education institutions. The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) evaluates and examines all the important aspects of a HEI like quality of education, faculty of the institute, infrastructure, etc. before accrediting an institution. Chandigarh University’s consistent efforts to maintain the quality of education has helped the institute maintain its prestigious NAAC A+ Accreditation. 
  • QS World University Rankings: The youngest university to make the best debut in QS World University Rankings, Chandigarh University performed exceptionally well in fulfilling the evaluation parameters, upon which the international publication assesses the rankings. As per the recent edition of QS World University Rankings, Chandigarh University ranks #3 among the Top Private HEIs in India. Globally, Chandigarh University performed among the top 57% (56.3%) institutions and secured a place in the 801-1000 band. 
  • QS Asia Rankings: Before securing a place in global rankings, Chandigarh University earned recognition as one of the leading universities in the Asian continent. The latest edition of QS Asia Region University Rankings 2022 ranked Chandigarh University between #271-280 amongst all Universities in the continent. On the national level, Chandigarh University ranks among the Top 10 Public and Private Universities in India. Reflecting upon the crucial aspects of higher education in the region, Chandigarh University ranks #86 on Employer Reputation; #214 on Academic Reputation; #223 on International Students; #230 on International Faculty and #233 on Inbound & Outbound Student Exchange as per the QS Asia Region University Rankings 2022.
  • NIRF Rankings: The annual editions of NIRF Rankings have also recorded Chandigarh University’s growth over the years. Chandigarh university has consistently inclined the NIRF Rankings and also made its place in the league of Top 30 universities in India. As per the NIRF Rankings 2022 announced by the Ministry of Education, GOI, CU ranks #29 among the Top Universities in India. Categorically, Chandigarh University ranks #40 among Top Management Institutions, #45 among Top Engineering Institutions, #37 among Top Pharmacy Institutions and #19 among top Architecture Institutions in the country. 
  •  Patents, Research & Innovation: The research endeavors undertaken by Chandigarh University have garnered recognition and appreciation at various stages. The students and faculty of Chandigarh University have filed 1816 patents so far, which testifies to the research intensive environment of the institution. Apart from it, Chandigarh university has gone a step ahead in supporting innovation and entrepreneurial ventures of its students by establishing Technology Business Incubator (TBI), department research groups and much more. CU’s TBI has so far supported the initiation of 120+ startups. 
  • Engagement in Social & National Causes: Emphasizing one of its core values of ‘Giving’, Chandigarh University has been consistent in recognizing societal or national causes and making contributions for the greater good. During the 75th Independence Day celebrations week, CU joined the #HarGharTiranga Campaign and created a Guinness World Records Title for the largest human image of a waving flag. Also, Chandigarh university has established the Kalpana Chawla Center for Research in Space Science & Technology to contribute to the country’s explorations beyond the skies.

9 Engineering courses at Chandigarh University get ABET accreditation

 Chandigarh University now has the highest number of ABET accredited engineering courses among private universities in the country Chandigarh University (CU), Gharuan, has earned the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) recognition for its nine engineering programmes. Chancellor Satnam Singh Sandhu claimed that CU now has the highest number of ABET accredited engineering courses among private universities in the country. Honorable Chancellor, S. Satnam Singh Sandhu added that ABET, a premier global accreditation organisation for engineering and engineering technology programmes, is considered as evidence of an engineering programme’s standards. It was globally recognised as the “gold standard” for engineering education and prepared students to be a part of global workforce, he said.
