CU JUMPS PLACES IN OUTLOOK-ICARE RANKINGS 2022; RECORDS SIGNIFICANT IMPROVEMENT 


The youngest university to make the best debut in QS World University Rankings, Chandigarh University has once again recorded an improvement in its performance and has inclined upwards in the latest Outlook-ICARE College Rankings 2022. Outlook India has recently declared the best college rankings for 2022. The latest rankings have not only witnessed Chandigarh University improving its ranking consistently in disciplines like Engineering and Management but also in other prominent disciplines like Law, Computer Applications, Architecture, etc. 



Showcasing a significant improvement in various programs and its related aspects, Chandigarh University has ranked higher among colleges for Fashion Designing, Engineering, Architecture, Law, BCA, Mass Communication, Hotel Management, Sciences and BBA. In comparison to last year’s Outlook-ICARE rankings, Chandigarh University has improved its ranking in each category. Here’s how CU fared in different departments: 


Architecture: To begin with, Chandigarh University has consistently maintained its ranking among the country's Top 10 Private Colleges for Architecture. The university has now been ranked #6 among India’s Top Architecture Private Institutions in the country. Last year, it was ranked #8 for the same. Alongwith jumping two places in national rankings, CU now ranks #1 in Punjab and #2 in North India as the top Architecture Private College. 




Fashion Designing: Although Chandigarh University’s Fashion Designing discipline was not ranked last year by Outlook-ICARE rankings, it has now showcased an impressive performance. Outlook-ICARE rankings 2022 have awarded an all-India Rank #24 (private) to Chandigarh University for its fashion designing programs. Categorically, CU ranks #1 in Punjab and #6 private fashion designing institute in North India. This makes CU the only Punjab institution to rank among the Top 25 institutes in the country.



Law: Another department where Chandigarh University climbed up the ladder, the Law division of CU has also jumped places as per the Outlook-ICARE Rankings 2022. Previously ranked #21, CU now ranks #19 as the Best Law Private colleges in India. It ranks #1 in Punjab and #6 in North India. Also, CU is the only institution in Punjab to be ranked among the Top 30 Law Colleges in the country. 



BCA: With an All India Rank of #38, CU now ranks #35 among the best private colleges for BCA in India. The university recorded an improvement in this department as well by upscaling from the 47th rank received in 2021. Also, Chandigarh University ranks #3 in Punjab and #12 among the best BCA colleges in North India.  



Mass Communication: Mass Communication is another one of those disciplines where CU has recorded improvement in performance and rankings. The Outlook-ICARE College Rankings 2022 ranks CU #10 among the best private Mass Communication Colleges in India. Previously, it was ranked #16 and this year, it has entered the Top 10 list. Individually, CU ranks #2 in Punjab and #3 in North India as the top mass communication private institution.



Hotel Management: The high-performing UITHM of Chandigarh University has again recorded an impressive performance by improving its Outlook-ICARE ranking from #7 in 2021 to #6 in 2022. The university now ranks #6 among the best private hotel management institutions in the country, #2 in Punjab and #3 in North India.



Engineering: As per the latest edition of Outlook-ICARE Rankings, CU’s Engineering division ranks #14 among the top engineering private institutions of India. The university has jumped two places from its last year’s Outlook-ICare rankings where it was ranked #16. Categorically, CU now ranks #2 and #3 among the best engineering private colleges in Punjab and North India, respectively.  



Sciences: Chandigarh University now ranks #55 among India’s Top Science Institutions in the country and #38 among the top private colleges in India. Last year, it was ranked #55 for the same. Maintaining consistency in national rankings, CU now ranks #1 in Punjab & Chandigarh tricity and #16 in North India as the top Sciences College. 



BBA: Management is another department where Chandigarh University climbed up the ladder and has jumped places as per the Outlook-ICARE Rankings 2022. Previously ranked #55, CU now ranks #39 as the Top BBA Colleges in India. It ranks #2 in Punjab & Chandigarh Tricity and #16 in North India.

9 Engineering courses at Chandigarh University get ABET accreditation

 Chandigarh University now has the highest number of ABET accredited engineering courses among private universities in the country Chandigarh University (CU), Gharuan, has earned the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) recognition for its nine engineering programmes. Chancellor Satnam Singh Sandhu claimed that CU now has the highest number of ABET accredited engineering courses among private universities in the country. Honorable Chancellor, S.
