US Calling for Chandigarh University Students; Opportunity to complete BCA at Northern Arizona University

Studying abroad has innumerous benefits, especially when international exposure is considered one of the prime factors in the present-day world. Not only does it enhance your potential with exposure to different cultures, people, or opportunities but also amplifies your scope for a global professional career. There has been an enormous increase in the trend of going abroad for higher studies over the last decade. One of the major examples of this could be cited in India, where the number of students studying abroad rose from 66,736 to 7,53,000 within a decade.

One of the leading universities in North India, Chandigarh University offers many international programs with 306+ global tie-ups in higher education. The varsity offers several international opportunities under the Articulation Program, Study Abroad, Foreign Internships, and Semester Exchange.

Recently, CU has introduced a pathway programme in collaboration with upGrad, India's largest online higher education company. The program enables the students of the four-year Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA) course to get transferred to Northern Arizona University for the last two years of their degree. Under this program, the students who can meet the academic requirements will be allowed to complete their remaining course at the US-based varsity.

This program further opens the gateway to new opportunities as well. The four-year program allows the student to apply for a post-study work visa in the United States after their graduation. It enables the student to stay in the US for up to three years and build a professional career.

Highlighting the benefits of the program in an official statement, upGrad remarked, “This pathway will assist in saving close to Rs 50 lakhs in tuition fees along with the living expenses incurred by learners, who wish to pursue their Bachelor’s from the US, thus offering dual benefits of being cost-effective, with an added advantage of mobility. Learners under this arrangement, have a chance to study abroad and explore job opportunities in the US at a cost significantly lesser than what they would have to pay for a fully on-campus foreign course."

On the second hand, Ragh Singh, Program Manager, Strategic Global Initiatives, Center for International Education, Northern Arizona University added that the collaboration would “not only provides the opportunity to pursue higher education from the United States but also allows to complete part of your academic degree from your home country and thus lowering the cost of education in terms of earning a US higher education degree."
