Virtual Meet with Chief Minister Punjab



The unprecedented COVID-19 pandemic has adversely affected most economies of the world. The Indian market is no exception. Hence the most important priority for the government is now to revive the hard-hit economy. Considering the same, Honourable Chief Minister of Punjab, Captain Amarinder Singh will be having a direct interaction with some of the top industry leaders of the country to take their suggestions and recommendations to revive the industry in the post COVID-19 scenario.

Punjab under the able leadership of CM Capt. Amarinder Singh has always provided a business friendly environment to its investors. It is one of the strongest economies in the country with the lowest level of hunger and is known for its best infrastructure, power surplus and entrepreneurial skills of its people. Hence Honourable CM would want to engage directly with the major stakeholders from diversified fields who will lead the revival and will also share his vision with them.


Chandigarh University in association with Government of Punjab is organizing this industry-academia virtual meet with Honourable CM of Punjab to discuss the ways & measures needed to boost the economy. The meet will be conducted in two sessions. The first session will see brainstorming among the top industry leaders from the country. The second session will start with an overview presentation of the first session to the Honourable CM by Industry representative - followed by an address and discussion with the CM. The industry leaders will get a chance to put forth their ideas to uplift the economy.

9 Engineering courses at Chandigarh University get ABET accreditation

 Chandigarh University now has the highest number of ABET accredited engineering courses among private universities in the country Chandigarh University (CU), Gharuan, has earned the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) recognition for its nine engineering programmes. Chancellor Satnam Singh Sandhu claimed that CU now has the highest number of ABET accredited engineering courses among private universities in the country. Honorable Chancellor, S. Satnam Singh Sandhu added that ABET, a premier global accreditation organisation for engineering and engineering technology programmes, is considered as evidence of an engineering programme’s standards.
