In process of generating over 10 Lakh Jobs – FINANCIAL SECTOR

Here is a big and exciting news for our students pursuing banking and financial studies.

1.01 million is the additional workforce requirement between 2017 and 2022 as shown by an analysis on skill gap. In Non- Banking financing services sector a lot of semi urban areas are under penetrated. Not only this, RBI also identified around 400,000 villages that are unbanked.

To expand this sector thereby bringing a spurt in the jobs, RBI is moving ahead by issuing new licenses with an aim of expanding financial services to the rural areas.
An upward trend will be seen in the ‘Hiring Trend’ & may get a further boost from the public sector banks who will need the fresh talent for their productive expansion. Besides direct hiring, expansion in banking sector also helps in huge job creation in various support areas. To increase financial inclusion, the RBI had recently awarded licenses for new categories of banks - payment banks and small banks.

The new licenses will hire people with banking expertise for key positions, thereby triggering a revival in recruitment for banking.
